I love exploring hidden gems and also the popular attractions.

You can visit a lot of historic sites and capture the beautiful scenery of Scotland.

Castles and history

Scotland boasts a wealth of historical sites and cultural heritage:

  • Castles and Palaces: Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle, and Balmoral Castle offer insights into Scotland’s royal history.

  • Historic Cities: Edinburgh and Glasgow have a mix of medieval, Georgian, and Victorian architecture, museums, and galleries.

William Wallace was a popular Scottish Knight and fought the war of independence between Scotland and England. Therefore he was a very important figure in Scotland.

  • Highlights: Known for its Renaissance architecture and stunning views over the River Forth, Stirling Castle includes the Royal Palace, the Great Hall, and the Chapel Royal.

  • Highlights: Perched atop Castle Rock, this iconic fortress offers panoramic views of the city. It houses the Crown Jewels, the Stone of Destiny, and the National War Museum of Scotland.

Edinburgh being the capital, the castle is always busy so make sure to give this visit a few hours!
